.Description About the role: This is a unique opportunity to join the R&A Studio Editorial team and impact the Gartner client experience. The successful candidate will help define, drive, and innovate the end-to-end delivery of must-have content, supporting and communicating our best practice, insight-driven research in compliance with Gartner's high-quality standards. We are looking for a self-motivated, highly creative problem solver to lead a team of editors. A primary focus of this position will be to supervise and develop the team and manage key stakeholder projects and relationships. The position balances people management and content strategy responsibilities. Experience with performance management, coaching, and strategically influencing content are good skills to have in this role. What you will do: Lead, manage, coach, and mentor a small team of editors of various tenures, backgrounds and experience levels. Guide the team as they project manage and produce high-quality deliverables in line with department and firm benchmarks. Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with stakeholders, direct reports, and peer groups. Influence strong product outcome, guided by overall Gartner brand, voice, and aesthetics. Mitigate risk on projects by creating contingency plans and recommending solutions, proactively engaging in problem solving. Serve as a thought partner to the leadership and help shape the strategy of the team by identifying and driving innovations in line with the goals of the team and firm. Related duties, as assigned. What you will need: College degree in an editing, journalism, creative writing or closely related discipline. 4+ years experience in a creative services environment or editorial team. 3-5 years experience as editor or writer required; 1-2 years of experienceas a senior preferred. Possession of excellent oral and written skills, including communicating presentations to internal and external professionals at all levels. Ability to be a self-starter, pay strict attention to detail, and multitask across multiple projects in a fast-paced, team-based environment. Experience with reading, understanding, or developing visualizations from complex data. Good understanding of editorial processes, and working knowledge of publishing environments. Proficiency with the Google suite of products. Proficiency with the Microsoft suite of products (like Word and PowerPoint). Proficiency with data analytic tools like PowerBi and Advance Excel is a plus. Prior experience managing or working on remote and/or international teams is a plus. Who are we? At Gartner, Inc.
