In addition to teaching students directly, we operate the British Council's only school, in Madrid, and run strong programs in arts and education and society.Role PurposeTo promote and ensure quality teaching and effective learning of English and to support the wider aims of British Council and its cultural relations mission.Main Duties:Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality English language teaching that meets the needs of different customer groups.Monitor and assess progress and provide regular feedback to help manage students' performance throughout the course.Meet individually with parents and students as part of the student's learning process.Complete teaching-related administrative tasks to specified standards.Ensure safeguarding and guidelines are applied and upheld in line with standards and policy.QualificationsEssential:Undergraduate degree (in any discipline)Cambridge CELTA or Trinity Certificate TESOLDesirable:Recognised Diploma in English as a foreign language (e.G., DELTA or Trinity Diploma)A Postgraduate Certificate in Education or Bachelor of Education in primary or a relevant secondary subject is highly desirable.Work Experience:Essentials:1 year post-certificate experience (i.E., CELTA or Trinity Certificate TESOL)Experience in teaching relevant age groups specific to the center:Early Years aged 2 to 5 (400+ hours)Primary aged 6 to 10 (400+ hours)Lower Secondary aged 11 to 14 (800+ hours)Upper Secondary aged 15 to 17 (400+ hours)Salary & BenefitsSalary - Euro 12.015,00 € - 13.918,20 € gross annually (depending on the working hours offered & education)Offsite Travel AllowanceAdditional Information:Contract type: Part time (15.5 hours a week)Nationality requirements: Applicants must be EU nationals or have the right to work in SpainWorking Schedule: Typical teaching slots are weekday lunchtime, afternoon and evening classes, and Saturday morning and afternoon classes.Closing Date and Time: 27 November 2024 (23:59 PM IST)The British Council is committed to policies and practices of equality, diversity and inclusion across everything we do.#J-18808-Ljbffr
