ROLE SUMMARY:Kensington School, Madrid, a prestigious International British school of more than 50 years standing, seeks a dynamic, forward-looking, and ambitious Teacher of English.
You will join an inspirational and growing team of teachers looking to establish itself at the forefront of IB and IGCSE teaching in Madrid.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Implement and deliver an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant, and differentiated curriculum for students.Support a designated curriculum area as appropriate.Monitor and support the overall progress and development of students as a teacher/form tutor.Facilitate and encourage a learning experience which provides students with the opportunity to achieve their individual potential.Contribute to raising standards of student attainment.Share and support the school's responsibility to provide and monitor opportunities for personal and academic growth.THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:Hold QTS (or equivalent) and a relevant undergraduate degree.Successful teaching experience at secondary level (can be teaching practice).Understanding of the theory and practice of effective teaching and learning.Awareness of high expectations and equality of access for all students, and the role of a tutor.Knowledge of National Curriculum requirements at KS3 and KS4, and experience in writing lesson plans, developing resources, and assessing students' work.Able to work as part of a team and maintain positive relationships with all staff.Good level of ICT skills.
