We are seeking a highly skilled Remote Tax Manager for a direct hire opportunity within the construction industry.
This exciting position allows you to work from anywhere within the United States, applying your expertise in tax advisory and compliance.
The role offers a competitive salary range of $110k-$130k.
You will be responsible for reviewing research findings, tax returns, and work papers, formulating conclusions, and ensuring all tax advice is technically correct and documented according to firm policies and professional standards.
Responsibilities: Advanced Tax Expertise: Provide specialized tax advisory services, ensuring technical accuracy and compliance.
Review and Formulate Conclusions: Review research findings, tax returns, and work papers, and formulate conclusions consistent with firm policies.
Documentation: Ensure all tax advice is properly documented.
Policy and Standards Adherence: Understand and follow the firms policies, procedures, and professional standards.
Communication Skills: Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication abilities.
Coaching and Development: Dedicate time to coaching and developing team members through training and providing growth opportunities.
Client Communication: Actively communicate clients' needs and facts to appropriate team members to execute the work.
Relationship Building: Build relationships across industry service groups to ensure client service excellence.
Trust and Teamwork: Develop trustworthiness with clients and team members.
Project Management: Manage the progression of quality deliverables on time, in scope, and within budget and/or realization goals.
Construction Experience: Leverage construction industry experience to provide relevant tax advice.
Qualifications: Motivation and Organization: Must be motivated, able to multi-task, and organized.
Maintain a positive attitude, be cooperative and flexible in assignments.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience: Must have experience with mid-market accounting firms and prior experience in the construction industry is a must.
Education: B.A./B.S.
degree in Accounting required (MST/MBA is a plus).
Certification: CPA license.
Technical Skills: Strong technical skills in taxation with at least 5+ years of work experience.
