They are now at 190 employees across five markets, have experienced a 6x growth in revenue since last year, and have raised €40M in funding led by top-tier venture capital firms.They were ranked as one of the most promising Spanish startups of 2022, and this year, they aim to continue building out a world-class team and expanding into new markets.ABOUT THE ROLEReporting to the Director of Accounting, you will play a crucial role in coordinating the tax efforts of the whole group of companies. This includes coordinating external advisors, implementing internal changes regarding taxes, and ensuring all tax forms and liquidations are presented in absolute compliance.This role will hire another person to the team, who will fall under your supervision. The Tax Manager will be in charge of that person's training and coordination.The ultimate tax objective of the company is to take all necessary measures to prevent any tax incidences in any of the jurisdictions: Spain, Portugal, Germany, France, and the US.The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success, working both within accounting firms and finance departments at mature companies. A strong sense of compliance, high attention to detail, and excellent interpersonal skills are all important attributes to succeed in this role. This candidate will also need to be structured, process-oriented, and very well organized.SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIESCoordinate the tax initiatives for the company.Stay up to date with any tax regulations that affect the company's activity.Decide on the best tax advisors for each location.Consider the corporate tax structure of the group.Support the Finance team in the correct preparation of invoice templates.Support the Product team in displaying how taxes affect bookings on the site.Define and maintain a set of internal reports to give visibility of tax activities.WORK EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS5+ years of relevant experience, both working at an accounting firm (ideally big 4) and in-house within the finance department of a company.Experience in processing taxes, ideally in multiple countries.Experience coordinating different tax firms and reviewing their work.Extremely analytical mindset, data-driven in decision-making, and comfortable with ambiguity and chaos.Strong communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders - able to influence at different levels.Clear track record of promotions and strong references from managers and peers.Ability to understand the drivers of the business and identify improvement points.BENEFITSA challenging job at one of the fastest growing companies in Europe.Competitive annual gross salary, to be determined in line with your knowledge and experience.International working environment with many different nationalities.Work with talented, committed, and supportive teammates.Flexible schedule and no dress code!Team events and an amazing internal culture.Snacks in the office - fruits, nutrition bars, free coffee, and popcorn for whenever you feel like it!
