Tax CoE Process Expert (Indirect Tax)
Join our Global Business Services (GBS) team as a Global Indirect Tax process expert and become a pivotal part of our Tax Center of Excellence (CoE). In this role, you will be at the forefront of shaping the future of tax operations within a leading international company. Your mission will be to spearhead transformative changes in tax determination, ensuring compliance and efficiency across our global invoice processes.
As a strategic partner, you will offer expert guidance to stakeholders, utilizing your tax acumen and IT savvy to deliver unique solutions. Your proactive mindset will lead the charge in continuous process enhancements, where your ability to leverage automation and data analytics will drive impactful advancements.
Your Tasks and Responsibilities: Operative analysis and resolution of specific issues in tax determination within ECC and S4 environments, ensuring compliance with new tax law changes.
Consulting on new and existing business scenarios related to tax determination, including the provision of expert support to stakeholders for content, ERP, and process-related inquiries.
Maintenance and updating of relevant tax determination tables in ECC and S4 systems in response to regulatory changes or business needs.
Designing and consulting on tax determination scenarios in a country-specific context, including the correct mapping of tax codes to country-specific reporting boxes to ensure indirect tax compliance.
Translating business requirements into effective tax determination configurations and making necessary adjustments for outgoing invoices.
Leading and participating in projects to consult on new business scenarios, models, and global process implementations in the indirect taxes area.
Identifying, championing, and leading process improvement initiatives, leveraging automation, data analytics, and cross-functional collaborations to enhance efficiency and accuracy in tax determination.
Coordinating special issues, questions, and topics with tax advisors and ensuring adherence to global governance processes in indirect tax and IT tool-chain.
Developing and delivering comprehensive training programs to support the implementation of process improvements and new systems.
Who You Are: B/BS/MBA in Accounting and/or Tax, ideally combined with strong IT knowledge, including a technical understanding of SDP, SAP ECC, S4 standard tax determination, Taxmarc, and other tax engines.
Minimum of 4 years of work experience in tax, covering tax compliance/accounting with a foundational level of process and system knowledge in an increasingly automated and complex digital world.
Solid understanding of indirect tax processes, compliance requirements globally, and basic enterprise processes (S2P, O2C, Services/Goods Movements, Intercompany, Service Accounting).
Willingness to work with a variety of IT tools on a daily basis.
Advanced capabilities in structuring and organizing complex work packages, leading change, projects, and initiatives, and translating digital technologies into processes.
Exceptional analytical skills, tax judgement, business knowledge, and a proactive attitude towards driving process changes.
Strong collaboration and communication skills within global and virtual teams, capability to work task/project oriented without geographical, organizational, or functional borders.
Customer-oriented mindset with strong change management capabilities and a team player attitude.
Fluency in English is required; German language proficiency is an advantage.
The position is published in Spain but we also accept candidates located in other European countries.
