These 3P obligations are the responsibility of the European VAT Compliance & Controllership team supported by VAT Operations team ensuring effective executions of tasks.We are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic Tax Business Analyst to join us in one of the team's locations - Bratislava or Barcelona.Key job responsibilitiesThis role requires a self-starter with strong data analytical skills, a keen attention to detail and good track record of hitting deadlines.Successful candidate will have the ability to tackle multiple requests and efficiently execute deliverables.You will use your analytical skills and demonstrate your ability to interpret clearly, analyze quantitatively, problem-solve, scope technical requirements and prioritize.Work may also include some mainstream VAT compliance activities, supporting internal and external audits, and liaising with colleagues in VAT C&C as well as Tax and the wider business.You will need an understanding of financial systems. You may also be involved in projects that have a VAT compliance impact.You will be expected to take ownership of your activities, identify process improvement opportunities for existing process and controls, and drive positive change across the organization.About the teamThe VAT Operations team supports day to day operations on key processes to ensure Amazon's compliance within supported regulations (EU/UK markets).BASIC QUALIFICATIONSKnowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications at an advanced level;Ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality and data security standards;Interpersonal, written and oral communication skills, including excellent command of English;Experience working in a large multi-national company.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSWork experience working in a multi-national finance and/or VAT compliance function.Amazon is an equal opportunities employer.
