In this role, you are a key contributor to the preparation, review and reporting of internal and external tax information. You will provide tax oversight to Northland's portfolio of companies in Spain.The Senior Tax Analyst - Spain will work closely with the local finance team in to oversee all ongoing projects in Spain.Key Responsibilities:Review and assist tax advisors in Spain with the preparation of quarterly, annual tax provisions, public reporting, and Consolidated CIT Group Tax ; Coordinate withregional tax service providers and local staff to monitor compliance, cash tax payments, VAT and withholding taxes, CIT, local taxes, stamp duties and facilitate timely filings; Assisting with dealings with local tax authorities including tax authorities' enquiries, tax audits and interactions.Assist with local accounting and treasury functions on any tax related matters as needed; Support development initiatives in Spain as required; Work with external tax advisors and legal departments to maintain tax structures in Spain ; Provide supporting documentation and respond to auditors as required; Prepare the taxnotes in the Annual AccountsOversee local transfer pricing analysis and documentation; Oversee merger and acquisition activities in Spain from a tax perspective if required, including managing due diligence and advisors; In partnership with local teams and the Corporate Finance Department, ensure Spanish taxes are accurately modeled, budgeted and forecasted; Work with members of the Tax Department and other Northland departments to improve workflow, technologies, efficiencies, controls, documentation and processes.Who you are:Independent: You are an independent thinker and naturally set your own timescales and milestones to ensure you meet your objectives
