It will work closely with the European Tax team, providing indirect tax compliance and reconciliation. It will report to the Global Tax Director, who is also based in Switzerland.Based in SpainEssential Function of the Job: Compliance (60% of the time) Review and timely submission of all direct and indirect tax returns of the LATAM legal entities of the Group in the most efficient manner.Managing & co-ordinating the LATAM direct and indirect tax compliance s with the Finance team- ensuring key control framework / policies in place & driving escalation process when necessary.Projects (e.G. Support to Commercial launch, SAP set up...) Ensuring direct and indirect tax efficiency of supply chain management further to the LATAM commercial launch and working closely with operations & logistics teams. Maintain and provide tax codes to internal stakeholders to ensure proper settings in SAP including guidelines.Engaging with the heads of Finance, Sales, Legal, Tax department, Logistics, global & business process owners & IT, to help identify & mitigate potential indirect tax riskSupporting the Global indirect tax teamMaintains accounting controls regarding indirect taxes.Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information for the VAT declaration.Other Qualifications/Requirements: 5+ years' Indirect tax compliance & advisory experience, gained either in-house or in big 4 firm.Accounting, law or tax degree preferred.SAP Knowledge is required.Experience working with USA GAAP reporting standards.Ideally working in a complex, international environment with cross border indirect tax exposure.Ideally exposure to customs issues or willingness to acquire customs knowledge.Experience dealing with operational aspects of transfer pricing.Focused, organized, results-oriented, decision maker & self-motivated individual.Languages: English written and oral required, Portuguese and/or Spanish a plus.Supervisory Responsibilities: NoComputer Skills: SAP Knowledge is required/Excel knowledge is requiredLocation: RemoteBeiGene Global CompetenciesWhen we exhibit our values of Patients First, Collaborative Spirit, Bold Ingenuity and Driving Excellence, through our twelve global competencies below, we help get more affordable medicines to more patients around the world
