We help our customers to be even more successful with our knowledge of precious and base metals and our passion for innovation.RESPONSIBILITIESThe Regional Sales Management EMEA Chemical Catalysts is responsible for the commercial and customer-facing activities of the chemical market catalysts and adsorbents.Manage and grow customer interactions in the territory France, Portugal, Spain, and Italy, serving as the first commercial and technical interface to the customer.Identify customer needs and new leads through customer interaction, coordinate the process of turning leads into opportunities, and put together the business case for solution scenarios.Seek new business opportunities, business partners, and customers while managing existing business partners and customers in close cooperation with marketing, technology, innovation, and licensing teams.Extend the portfolio beyond existing fields to grow, including new projects encompassing the sale of innovative catalyst solutions for low-carbon and sustainable process technologies.Analyze the market, customer and competitor landscape, update market intelligence data, and provide sales forecasts.Participate in international exhibitions, fairs, and conferences to represent BASF's Chemical Catalysts division, including techno-commercial presentations.QUALIFICATIONSPhD or Master's degree in chemistry, catalysis, chemical engineering, or equivalent.5+ years of experience in technical sales, business development, process engineering, or technical marketing.Experience in working with customers in the area of catalysts, process engineering, (petro-) chemicals, or oil gas industry.Excellent negotiation and account management skills together with strong customer focus.Strong communication and presentation skills in French and English; other languages such as Spanish, Italian, or German are considered a plus.Willingness to travel up to 50% of your time.BENEFITSWe offer a wide range of responsibilities and improve the opportunities for our employees with on-the-job training, supported by an involved and competent team.
