WOOD is looking for a Senior Project Engineer with proven experience in a major engineering contractor within the Oil & Gas Industry.
The successful candidate will join the discipline team working in our current major projects and will report to the designated discipline lead or manager.
Minimum Requirements:Relevant Diploma / Degree in Industrial or Chemical EngineeringProven record ranging from 5 to 10 years of relevant experience performing equivalent duties, preferably with an EPC Contractor, in Oil & Gas, Refining, Petrochemical or Mining & Metals business areasConversant with international codes and standards (ANSI, ASME, API, NFPA, etc)Knowledge of Microstation, PDS and SmartPlan3D3D Model knowledge, including knowledge in SmartPlant Review and NavisworksTeamwork capabilities, flexibility, problem solving attitude, orientation to results, relational skills, specific technical knowledgeReady to work in an international environment and to learn international engineering working practicesSpanish language at native levelExcellent command of EnglishAvailable immediatelyValid European Work PermitResponsibilities:Participates in the coordination of the engineering activities during the development of the projectCoordinates the preparation of Project Specifications by the various discipline departmentsAssists / prepares the Coordination Procedure and the Project Execution Plan (PEP) in collaboration with the Lead Engineer and the Project ManagerInterfacing with the project team and the ClientAssists the Engineering Coordinator in the review of approved Project schedules and ensures that the Detailed Programs include all the Engineering activities of the units under his chargePrepares the Project Specifications as assignedReviews the requisitions of the Critical and Principal Equipments of the assigned UnitsReviews and approves the vendor drawings of the equipments requisitioned by him / herselfIdentifies and follows up the Contract ChangesPrepares man-hour estimates to support contract changesAssists / prepares the monthly Progress Report
