Please check out our Recruitment Policy.The RoleWe are looking for an 'Environmental Science Administrative' who is excited by the challenge to provide excellent service in an international research environment. Among the principal tasks of the role, we find:Support the Facility Management department to develop, define, and implement corporate strategies and action plans for the reduction of the carbon footprint and waste generated in the centre, executing concrete measures to achieve the centre's environmental objectives.Collaborate with different research groups and administrative departments to implement projects that promote sustainability and the reduction of environmental impact in their work lines and processes.Supervise consultancy firms specializing in sustainability and participate in the design of specific programmes to reduce emissions, energy efficiency, waste management, and sustainable purchasing criteria.Environmental awareness and communication in the centre.Development of protocols and good policies/practices to improve the efficiency and resources of the Facility Management department and other departments or research groups.About the DepartmentThe Facility Management Department is responsible for the maintenance and security of the CRG spaces (around 11,000 m2 located in two sites: PRBB, PCB, and FPM) and associated assets and equipment, as well as planning and building new construction projects, including refurbishments and modifications. The specific services offered are included below:Maintenance and general services of the spaces and equipment, including the maintenance and security of spaces, maintaining and repairing general equipment and highly specialized equipment in wet labs and facilities, overseeing the surveillance and alarm systems for biological samples stored at -20oC, -80oC, and in cryogenic tanks. This also encompasses the supervision of services provided by the PRBB and PCB: cleaning, security, and maintenance (power, air conditioning, and data sockets)
