Job Title: People Relations Advisor *12 month Maternity Cover*
Location: Bury Head Office - BL9 8RR
Working rota: Mon-Fri
Working hours: 8.30am-5pm
What You'll Be Doing:As a People Relations Advisor, you'll be doing the following:
Providing practical and effective first line employee relations advice across the Group to Line Managers and colleagues within Retail and Gyms establishments along with the wider business.Providing timely and accurate advice regarding disciplinary, grievance, absence management and family friendly policies.Managing queries empathetically and communicating outcomes clearly and articulately to minimize appeals.Acting as a team player with the wider People team by sharing knowledge and expertise.Supporting and coaching Line Managers to effectively manage and resolve employee relations matters through to appropriate conclusions.What We're Looking For:CIPD qualified to a minimum of Level 5.
Level 3 may be considered if the candidate can demonstrate substantial relevant HR generalist based work experience, with a desire to gain Level 5.Previous HR/People Advisor related experience is essential, preferably in a retail environment or another fast-paced, constantly changing People environment, with responsibility for managing high volume complex cases.Excellent knowledge of employment legislation and People Relations policies and procedures.The Company:The JD Group is a leading omnichannel retailer of Sports Fashion, Street & Premium Fashion, Outdoors and Gyms with over 60,000 colleagues in over 3,400 stores across several retail fascias in over 30 markets around the world.
