Secheron Hasler Iberica is looking for a dynamic and motivated System Engineer to reinforce the team in Getafe, Madrid, where the selected candidate will develop the activity.
We're seeking a System Engineer who will serve as a technician on customer projects.
The seniority level is adaptable to both junior or senior.
This role involves supporting fellow technicians with technical challenges and tools, offering expert advice to clients on various technical matters.
The engineer will also be responsible for creating technical documentation, configuring systems, and conducting functional tests.
Additionally, you will operate Secheron Hasler products on trains and provide training to both customers and internal technical staff.
Your main responsibilities and tasks: Requirements management for creating the System Specifications.Generating the technical project documentation (for HW and SW).Creating configurations for onboard electronic products like e.g.
Event recorders, Energy Meter, Gateways, Speed Displays.Specifying and executing system tests according to the project requirements.Analyzing recorded train data to achieve the functional validation of the project.Taking responsibility for the correct configuration control of the project, for both Hardware and Software.For some products, it may be required to develop a PLC-based application.Technical interface with the customer and internal employees.Supporting the technical work of the other engineers in the project team.Supporting the customer in case of technical questions and problems during the customer project.Performing the commissioning and training of the customer, mainly in Europe.Defining test equipment and tooling requirements and ensuring their timely availability.Supporting R&D for validation of new HW and SW solutions.Supporting product management for standardized solutions with 3rd party components.You ideally bring the following:
University degree in a technical field (telecommunication, electronics…).Minimum 5 years of experience in related activities (applicable only for senior).Result-oriented and able to respect the deadlines set with the Project Manager.Knowledge of serial line buses, ethernet protocols, TRDP/MVB/CAN network integration.System integration knowledge is a must.Ability to identify project risks and opportunities.Ability to work autonomously as well as in a team.Very good communication skills (written and spoken).Knowledge of Spanish and English both spoken and written is mandatory; knowledge of German, Italian, French, or Czech is an advantage.Preferred qualifications: Experience in railway projects, especially safety-related in development.Good knowledge of railway standards EN50126, EN50155, EN50463.Familiarity with security standards IEC62443-4 and ISO27001.Knowledge of Polarion requirements tool (or any other requirement tool).XML programming notions (other programming languages are also valuable).We have flat hierarchies and encourage direct communication between departments and management levels, allowing us to make decisions quickly.
