*T *he CIM acts on behalf of the Ho CoC for all activities related to the program(s) under his/her responsibility. In this role he/she:
Is the source of all the information required by the Domains both during the bidding phase to understand the scope of the work to be performed and the contractual obligations of any new program (requirements capture); and during the different program phases to be aware of the program status.Leads the preparation of responses to the work requests of the Chief Engineers (CE). Harmonizes and challenges the inputs from the Domains to make sure that the proposal from the CoC is optimum from the technical, financial and planning point of view.Provides technical coordination among the Domains within the CoC, assuring consistency of the adopted technical solutions during the different program phases (design, development, certification, qualification, continued airworthiness).Follows up activities performed by the Domains within the CoC to ensure the achievement of program objectives in terms of time, cost and quality.Monitors that documentation generated by the CoC relative to his/her programs is coherent and consistent through the different domains and meets program objectives.Supports optimization of laboratory, ground and flight test activities in the program under scope.Takes care of the interfaces internal to the CoC.Takes care of the interfaces to other CoCs through their respective CoC Integration Managers as necessary for the accomplishment of his/her CoC tasks.Leads the OP preparation process within the CoC.Under the coordination of the CE, acts as the Point of Contact of the CoC with any other stakeholders of the program both internal and external to engineering (Airworthiness, Product and Flight Safety, Programs, Production, Customer Services, Planning and Control, Finance, Commercial, etc.).AS AN EXTENSION OF THE CHIEF ENGINEERS WITHIN THE CoC:
Defines with the CE the extent of the technical activities to be performed for each program, their budget and plan.Represents the CoC in the technical review meetings (as necessary).Reports the progress of the program and the execution of the budget to the CE.Supports the CE in all decisions related to the technical perimeter under the responsibility of his/her CoC to facilitate harmonization of technical solutions and the program requirements and the product improvement.Provides support to product strategy roadmap.Provides technical support to the CE in the contacts with the Customer and/or the Airworthiness Authorities when requested.Supports risk management process.This job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Company's success, reputation and sustainable growth.
