Key Responsibilities As the System Security Manager, your role will encompass both strategic oversight and hands-on execution.
You will: Develop & Implement Security Strategies: Design, implement, and continuously refine Zephyrus Engineering's system security policies, procedures, and infrastructure to safeguard our digital assets.
Risk Assessment & Management: Conduct regular risk assessments, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing to identify and mitigate security threats proactively.
Security Protocols & Incident Response: Establish and maintain incident response plans, lead incident investigations, and perform forensic analysis to ensure prompt and efficient threat resolution.
Security Training & Awareness: Collaborate with IT and HR to create comprehensive security awareness programs that empower employees at all levels to uphold secure practices.
Compliance & Regulatory Adherence: Ensure that all security measures comply with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, CMMC).
System & Network Hardening: Oversee the configuration and hardening of systems, servers, and networks, applying best practices for firewall, encryption, and intrusion detection/prevention management.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, IT, and leadership, to align security efforts with company objectives and operational needs.
Security Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed documentation on security protocols, procedures, and incidents; prepare executive reports summarizing security posture and progress.
Requirements Minimum Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
Relevant certifications (CISSP, CISM, CISA, etc.)
are highly desirable.
Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in system security, cybersecurity management, or IT security, with a demonstrated track record in designing and implementing security frameworks.
Technical Skills Proficient in Security Tools & Technologies: In-depth knowledge of firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), antivirus software, and vulnerability management tools.
Expertise in Security Standards: Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and standards, including but not limited to ISO, NIST, CMMC, and GDPR.
Incident Response: Strong background in security incident response and digital forensics.
System Hardening & Access Control: Solid experience in hardening operating systems, configuring access controls, and managing identity and access management solutions.
Penetration Testing & Threat Intelligence: Skilled in conducting penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, and utilizing threat intelligence to inform security strategies.
Soft Skills Problem-Solving Mindset: Analytical thinker who can identify vulnerabilities and resolve them proactively.
Leadership & Communication: Ability to communicate complex security concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders, including senior leadership.
Project Management Skills: Proven ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and lead cross-functional initiatives.
