Purpose of the JobAlstom, as a leader in the railway industry, in its Smart Mobility division develops solutions that bring value to the data of the railway systems and provides digital services that enhance the operation and bring new value to the railway operations and its customers.
It includes the design specification of cloud-based and on-premise solutions, tender specification reviews, system design proposals, and detailed design data integration.
Scope of WorkDesign at system level technical solutions for project/tender needs.Define the interfaces between the involved subsystems (internal and external).Functional specification of the system/subsystems.Control and allocate tender/project requirements to various subsystems and manage overall system performance.Coordinate the technical solution design and the integration of subsystems, products, and other technical partners.Ensure the consistency of the system design work in terms of reuse, compatibility with previous versions, and adequacy to market.Review of requirements fulfillment and interaction with the validation team.Accountabilities and ResponsibilitiesResponsible for the assigned tasks in:Tender requirement analysis and technical offer elaboration.Technical interface to platforms, subsystems, and products.Technical interface to the Data Analytics team.System design of data analytics solutions adapted to platform/project needs.Technical management (configuration, change control, and requirement).Solve technical issues concerning the system under the technical direction of the Mobility Analytics group leader.Allocate the technical tasks between the technical teams, and be responsible for the identification and management of the interfaces between teams and subsystems.Take responsibility for the overall performance of the system and the allocation of the performance requirements on each component to meet the system requirements and ensure that these requirements are met.Control the collection of technical data and keep it up to date.Participate in the projects reviews (give status on system activities).Core Technical SkillsEducational RequirementsEngineering degree (Telecom, SW, Industrial).High-level English language skills.High-level Spanish language skills.French language skills will be appreciated.Technical Knowledge3-5 years' experience as a system engineer.General knowledge of Data Analytics and its capabilities.General knowledge of industrial project management processes: V-Cycle.Knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, CMMI).Cloud and Kubernetes-based solutions knowledge.Appreciated technical knowledge of railway environment and signaling (Mainlines & Urban) solutions for:Systems operation and performance.Signaling subsystems (ATC/ATP/ATO, ERTMS, Interlocking).Telecom data transmission and processing.Security solutions (CCTV, PA, PIS).On-site project experience (Deployment, T&C, Installation) will be a plus.Behavioural SkillsRigorous, team management, process-oriented, result-oriented.Must be able to work closely with the project team and provide appropriate technical solutions and support.Must show a proactive attitude and think about solutions to issues that may arise.Must have strong motivational skills and must be able to establish positive relationships with other companies to ensure maximum success for Alstom.Other RequirementsAvailability to travel as required.
