ABOUT THE ROLE & TEAM: As a Software and Systems Integration Engineer, you will work from software development standpoint on the implementation of new functions or customer's requirement within SITA Air Traffic Control (ATC) systems. The integration work will cover integrating various hardware components, including servers, networking equipment, storage devices, and other infrastructure elements to compose the final system to be delivered to our customers. WHAT YOU WILL DO:Implement required new functions into SITA ATC software.Conducting various IV&V activities on software and integrated systems.Ensure that components work together efficiently to ehnace the overall system performance.Perform software and hardware integration projects.Script and testing factory and on-site system integration.Conduct pre-studies of the viability of an integration project.Prepare tests of systems at in-house and at Customer facility.Participate in European SESAR R&D projects requiring network and systems engineering skills.QualificationsEXPERIENCE: Experience in object-oriented programming (Java/C++, etc.)Experience in Linux (CentOS, Red Hat, Debian, etc.).Deployment for customers and generating related documentation (HW, network and validation).Understanding of Databases (e.G., Postgres, MySQL, MS SQL) and high availability conceptExperience/knowledge in systemsDeep understanding exchange-to-exchange networks (TCP/IP protocol suites, IPv4/IPv6, Routing protocols, IPSec)Ability to research solutions to new problems, good planning and organization skills, and creativity when solving problems.BS or MS in Computer Science/Network Engineering, ideally in IT and Telecomunication.Good level of English allowing direct coordination with customers (training, system integration, documentation....)NICE-TO-HAVE: VMWare or other virtualization solutionsKnowledge of Qt frameworkATM concepts and operationsExperience in ATC datalink operation or SESAR related research project is a plus.WHAT WE OFFER: SITA's workplace is all about diversity, many different countries and cultures are represented in our workforce.
