Role OverviewThe SysAdmin & Help Desk will manage the office network and security while providing high-quality help desk support for our team.
This role is pivotal in ensuring smooth day-to-day IT operations within the office, particularly in a macOS environment integrated with OKTA for Single Sign-On (SSO) and JAMF for device management.
Key ResponsibilitiesOffice Network Maintenance:
- Manage and configure office network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and Wi-Fi access points.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues to minimize downtime.Network Security:
- Ensure the office network is secure, implementing firewalls, VPNs, and other security measures.
- Conduct regular network audits to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities.
- Collaborate with the DevOps team for secure integration with cloud infrastructure (AWS).Physical Security:
- Manage IT-related aspects of office security, such as electronic access controls and surveillance systems.Data Security:
- Ensure endpoint protection, including antivirus, encryption, and adherence to IT security policies.
- Provide guidance on secure practices for macOS systems in the office.Help Desk Support:End-User Support:
- Serve as the first point of contact for IT support requests related to hardware, software, and network issues.
- Provide macOS-specific support, including troubleshooting system issues and assisting with JAMF-enforced policies.Account and Access Management:
- Assist with OKTA SSO account setup, deactivation, and troubleshooting.
- Manage permissions and resolve access issues for end-users.Hardware and Software Management:
- Set up and maintain office hardware (laptops, printers, peripherals).
- Assist in the installation and support of office productivity tools and software.Training and Documentation:
- Educate employees on IT policies, security best practices, and macOS usage.
- Maintain accurate documentation for network configurations, help desk procedures, and ticket resolutions.Other Responsibilities:Inventory Management:
- Keep an inventory of office IT assets, ensuring proper tracking and maintenance.Collaboration:
- Act as a liaison between the office IT team and the DevOps team for network integration and security compliance.Required QualificationsTechnical Expertise:Proven experience managing office networks and security systems.Strong knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, VPN).Experience troubleshooting and supporting macOS systems.Familiarity with Single Sign-On platforms (e.g., OKTA).Problem-Solving Skills:Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware/software/network issues efficiently.Understanding of MDM solutions like JAMF for macOS management.Soft Skills:Strong communication and interpersonal skills for user support.Detail-oriented with the ability to document processes clearly.Preferred:Knowledge of office physical security systems (access control, cameras).Familiarity with IT ticketing systems (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow).Experience working in environments with cloud infrastructure (AWS is a plus).What We OfferA competitive salary package based on your experience.An impressive benefits package, focused on our culture of integral health that includes medical insurance, gym with personal trainer, sauna and hyperbaric chamber, and fresh fruit every day.Tax-advantageous wage benefit: Meal card, transport package and other measures such as childcare allowance.Discount on Veg it (vegan meals) to order your lunch at the office.Flexible start and finish times.Reduced working hours in August.23 holidays plus 3 extra days at disposal.English classes.Parking benefit for those who live outside of Barcelona.And what we are very proud of, you will join a young, motivated and powerful team with a great team culture.
