Your role
As a Business Development Representative, your main responsibility will be identifying strong sales opportunities, profiling potential clients, understanding their needs, and driving new business through targeted outbound campaigns.
In this role, you will support businesses in improving collaboration, accelerating growth, and fostering innovation. As part of the Business Development team, you'll serve as the initial point of contact for numerous businesses, engaging proactively with them to build interest while identifying and qualifying their needs to direct them to the appropriate sales path.
You'll have individual sales targets but will also work as part of a broader team focused on expanding the customer base across EMEA.
This position is phone-based, where customer engagement will primarily occur via outbound calls.
Key Responsibilities
Meet quarterly SQO (Sales Qualified Opportunity) quotas and maintain high levels of daily and weekly activity.
Manage a portfolio of assigned accounts to identify high-potential prospects.
Educate customers about our offerings.
Conduct daily outbound calls and emails (including cold calling), engage with C-level decision-makers, build quick rapport, and assess needs.
Understand customer pain points, gather technical requirements, align business needs with available cloud solutions (solution-selling), and add value to the sales process.
Maintain and update customer and prospect data in the CRM system, managing leads, accounts, opportunities, and activities.
Work towards team and individual goals related to KPIs such as productivity, conversion rates, and pipeline growth.
Carefully document customer interactions and deal details to ensure stakeholders have a clear understanding of the current and past customer engagement.
Requirements
BA / BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
Proficient level of Swedish with fluency in English, both spoken and written.
Experience in outbound sales, B2B sales, or business development, preferably in the IT sector.
Familiarity with cloud computing concepts, particularly Google Cloud Platform.
Strong ability to link business needs with the right solutions solid business acumen.
Excellent interpersonal skills, with professionalism and integrity.
Comfortable working towards quotas in a phone-based role.
General IT proficiency to manage tasks efficiently.
Preferred Experience
1 year of IT outbound sales prospecting, with strong sales instincts and persuasive communication.
Experience with cold calling and managing a broad portfolio of contacts.
Proficiency with Salesforce or other CRM systems.
Ability to identify key decision-makers in conversations.
Goal-oriented, self-motivated, confident, and proactive individual with a competitive mindset.
Knowledge of the local market and business environment.
