We are hiring a versatile Scrum Master for our Insurance Integration layer based on Azure API. In this role, you will play a key role in agile software development methodologies, particularly in the Scrum framework. The primary responsibility of a Scrum Master is to facilitate the effective implementation and execution of Scrum principles and practices within a development team.
Your role
As a Scrum Master, your main responsibilities will involve:
Facilitating Scrum Events: The Scrum Master is responsible for organizing and facilitating various Scrum events, including the daily stand-up meetings, sprint planning, sprint review, and sprint retrospective. They ensure that these events are properly conducted, timeboxed, and attended by the relevant team members.Ensuring Team Adherence to Scrum Principles: The Scrum Master acts as a coach and guide, helping the team understand and follow Scrum principles and values. They ensure that the team fully embraces agile and Scrum practices, such as self-organization, cross-functionality, collaboration, and iterative development.Removing Impediments: The Scrum Master identifies and helps remove any obstacles or impediments that hinder the team's progress. They work closely with the team to address issues related to resources, communication, dependencies, or any other factors that impact productivity or hinder the team from achieving its sprint goals.Protecting the Team: The Scrum Master serves as a shield for the development team, protecting them from external disruptions and unnecessary distractions. They ensure that the team can work in a focused and uninterrupted environment, maintaining a sustainable pace and avoiding scope creep during the sprint.Coaching and Mentoring: The Scrum Master provides guidance and support to the team members, helping them understand and adopt agile and Scrum practices. They encourage continuous improvement, facilitate learning opportunities, and foster a culture of collaboration, trust, and accountability within the team.Facilitating Communication: The Scrum Master facilitates effective communication among team members, product owners, stakeholders, and other parties involved in the project. They promote transparency and ensure that information flows smoothly within the team, helping to align expectations and ensuring everyone has the necessary information to make informed decisions.Metrics and Reporting: The Scrum Master collects and analyzes relevant metrics to track the team's progress and identify areas for improvement. They provide regular reports to stakeholders, highlighting the team's accomplishments, velocity, and any challenges or risks that may affect project delivery.Continuous Improvement: The Scrum Master promotes a culture of continuous improvement within the team and the organization as a whole. They facilitate retrospectives to reflect on the team's performance, gather feedback, and identify opportunities for enhancement. They also stay updated with industry best practices and emerging trends to suggest improvements to the Scrum process.Your Skills and Experience
As a Scrum Master, your skills and qualifications will ideally include:
Bachelor's or master's degree in technology field5+ years of relevant work experience in facilitating skillsExperience working with tools such as Jira, Confluence, etc.Certification in Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) or equivalentStrong knowledge of Scrum and AgileAdvanced English levelConflict Resolution SkillsStrong Communication SkillsTime Management SkillsLeadership SkillsCoaching SkillsAdditional Information
