High Growth/Emerging Brand Food/Bev CPG, Co-Man/Co-Pack Relationship Management Experience Required.Our client, a high-growth food/bev CPG, is seeking a dynamic and experienced SVP of Operation to lead Supply Chain, Operations, Logistics, Innovation, and Customer Service departments. As a strategic partner of the executive team, you will guide vision and drive short, mid, and long-term strategy and execution for all aspects of our Operations with the goal of enabling sustainable growth and achieving financial objectives through best-in-class execution, increased efficiencies, innovation, quality management, and process improvements.Our client utilizes co-manufacturers to deliver high-quality brands to our consumers. This role will ensure the delivery of these product standards at the lowest possible cost, while holding our partners accountable to our operational performance standards and quality requirements. Critically, the role will set the company for its next phase of growth, ensuring sufficient capacity is available while driving cost savings and supporting our new product development processes.Bachelor's Degree in Operations, Supply Chain Management, or Engineering, or relevant experience. A master's degree in business administration (MBA) can be advantageous.15+ years of Operations experience with 5+ years in a leadership capacity.Extensive experience with food manufacturers and a proven track record of success in food manufacturing and supply chain management.Exceptional leadership and people management skills, including the ability to inspire and lead cross-functional teams.Strong strategic and analytical skills to develop and execute operational strategies that align with the company's overall goals.Effective problem-solving skills to address operational challenges and implement solutions.Organized, solution-oriented, results-driven, detail-oriented, flexible, and able to prioritize to meet objectives and deadlines.Proven project management skills with the ability to lead teams to achieve stretch targets by targeted deadlines.Strong verbal and written communication that builds strong, effective, and professional internal and external relationships.Proven negotiation skills.Travel as required.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesStrategic Planning for OperationsDevelop and execute a comprehensive strategic plan for the Operations department that aligns with the company's overall business strategy and goals.Collaborate with other members of the Executive Leadership Team to ensure that Operational strategies align with marketing, sales, and financial objectives.Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the success of operational initiatives. Monitor and report on progress to the ELT.Lead cross-functional teams to implement strategic initiatives, such as expanding production capacity or optimizing distribution networks.Seek opportunities for innovation and process improvement to drive operational efficiency and competitive advantage.Team LeadershipBuild and lead a high-performing Operations team, encompassing operations, supply chain planning and management, manufacturing, innovation, logistics, customer service, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance.Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.Provide guidance, coaching, and mentorship to team members.Production and ManufacturingMaximize process efficiency and productivity in all aspects of the production process, including co-packer management and company-operated production operations.Ensure that products are delivered at the lowest possible cost while maintaining quality standards.Establish, monitor, and improve systems and processes that ensure co-packing partners consistently produce ordered quantities on time, in full, and in compliance with specifications.Oversee 3rd party operation of equipment that is used to produce products, ensuring equipment is maintained as required and operated in a manner to deliver the highest possible yields that consistently meet quality specifications at the lowest possible cost.Capacity and Supply Chain PlanningSupport the VP Supply Chain in the development and execution of supply plans that meet short and mid-term demand requirements.Create and implement a plan to establish redundant supply and sufficient capacity for all critical aspects of Operations. This plan could involve both expansion of our co-pack network and incorporation of in-house manufacturing.Logistics and Customer ServiceDevelop and mentor teams within these functions to ensure optimal performance and growth.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve end-to-end supply chain processes, customer service responsiveness, and logistics efficiency.Margin ImprovementLead margin improvement projects for core product lines to reduce product costs while upholding quality standards.ProcurementDevelop and implement a procurement process to establish supply certainty, redundancy, and cost optimization for all critical raw materials.Partnerships and RelationshipsBuild and maintain strong working relationships with all co-packing partners and key suppliers, striving for win-win solutions that align with Operations objectives.Establish and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) for Operations partners, aligning them with company goals and implementing plans to improve performance.Conduct regular business reviews with Operations partners.Process Optimization and Continuous ImprovementEnsure all critical processes are documented in a manner that eliminates single points of failure and allows for knowledge transferability within the Operations team and its Operations partners.Drive continuous improvement throughout Operations to deliver impactful innovation and growth.
