OCCAM Space is seeking a Supply Chain Technician to manage and optimize the procurement and logistics processes for space projects.
This role is essential for ensuring the timely delivery of components, materials, and services while maintaining high standards of quality and cost-efficiency.
Main Responsibilities: Coordinate the procurement of materials, components, and services required for space system development.
Manage supplier relationships, including negotiations, performance evaluations, and quality monitoring.
Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, inventory levels, and delivery schedules.
Ensure compliance with project timelines by monitoring supplier progress and addressing potential delays.
Support the qualification and certification of new suppliers to meet space industry standards.
Oversee logistics, including transportation, customs clearance, and storage of components and materials.
Track and ensure proper documentation of materials, including certificates of compliance and test reports.
Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve supply chain-related issues.
Analyze procurement data to identify cost-saving opportunities and optimize the supply chain process.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree or technical certification in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
At least 2 years of experience in supply chain or procurement, preferably in aerospace or high-tech industries.
Knowledge of supplier management processes and quality standards (e.G., ISO 9001, ECSS).
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Proficiency in procurement and inventory management software, as well as MS Office tools.
Basic understanding of import/export regulations and customs procedures.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Nice-to-Have: Experience in the space industry or familiarity with aerospace components and systems.
Knowledge of cost optimization and risk management strategies.
Additional language skills are a plus.
