POSITION SNAPSHOT Ubication: Nestle Spain, La Penilla Factory Contract: Permanent full-time Position: Supply Chain Manager, Confectionery Zone Europa Nivel: G2 POSITION DESCRIPTION We are looking for a Supply Chain Manager.
The Supply Chain Manager is in charge of the supply and warehouse of raw materials and packaging (20 trucks daily average); ensuring the production program for each of the 5 manufacturing sectors (Confectionery, Infant Nutrition, Dairy, Food, and Nesquik).
The logistics department includes the following areas: planning, procurement, raw materials, finished and palletized product planning, storage (including overflow), and dispatch of finished products (30 trucks per day average).
You will lead a team of about 90 people within the different sections.
Among your responsibilities, you will highlight: Achieve effective management of planning, procurement, distribution, stock control, and internal logistics of materials such as ROH (raw materials), ZPCK (packaging material), HALB (some semi-finished), and FERTs (finished product), ensuring compliance with the standards of quality, safety, and environment while guaranteeing service quality in accordance with Nestle standards and current legislation at the lowest possible cost (efficiency and control of deviations).
Be a member of the Food Safety team, participating in HACCP meetings and providing action plans for the improvement and maintenance of the NFSMS (Nestlé Food Safety Management System).
Ensure the correct palletization of all factory products according to their palletization sheet, as well as the optimization of palletizers (e.g., unplanned stoppages, labor planning).
Be responsible for the entire supply chain team's safety and the supply of cocoa beans from shipment in ports of origin (Ghana, Ivory Coast, Ecuador, and others).
YOUR DAY TO DAY… Ensure the correct management of staff, including shift management, organization of holidays and breaks, recruitment, training, and solving unforeseen issues while balancing the department daily to achieve both cost and service objectives.
Lead lean and continuous improvement projects.
Guarantee the supply of cocoa and cocoa derivatives to the factory.
Control supply management by the MPR: management and review of material exceptions daily, advance unforeseen events impacting the manufacturing plan, and coordinate with the raw materials warehouse for the unloading of urgent materials.
Ensure the correct planning of loads from the production schedule and ensure the availability of transport.
Coordinate the planning of finished product loads with the different transport HUBs to ensure the correct output of factory goods.
Ensure proper warehouse management, goods entries, release of packaging material, and on-line service.
Ensure proper shipment of goods.
Ensure the correct dispatch of goods and coordinate the planning of finished product loads with the different transport HUBs.
Ensure proper stock management, material returns, and inventories while optimizing operations and costs.
DOES YOUR PROFILE FIT?
Bachelor of Business Administration and Management or Business Sciences.
5 to 7 years in a logistics position or similar role.
Experience in food production processes.
Experience in quality standards.
Cost and accounting training.
User-level knowledge of SAP.
Experience in dealing with people and in a leadership role for more than 3 years.
Average knowledge in occupational risk prevention, quality, and environment.
Trading and negotiation experience.
Experience in business or administrative management.
Knowledge of warehouse and transport management.
Problem-solving approach.
Fluent in English; other languages would be an advantage.
