The E2E Supply Chain – Data Engineer will prepare data for use by analysts, data scientists, and self-service analytics internal consumers via analytics tools by filtering, tagging, joining, parsing, and normalizing and building out E2E supply chain data lake. You will also maintain processes, standards, and policies needed to ensure high-quality master and transactional data, consistent with Straumann Group's Digital practices and E2E supply chain strategy.
Main Tasks and ResponsibilitiesSupply Chain Data Optimization: Utilize data preparation and modeling techniques to optimize supply chain data for self-service analytics, product development, modeling, and data discovery. This includes filtering, tagging, joining, parsing, and normalizing supply chain data.Standardization Across the Supply Chain: Harmonize and standardize supply chain data from various sources, including structured, unstructured, and waveform data.Supply Chain Data Enrichment: Identify new variables and insights that can enhance curated supply chain data sets and models.Data Management: Proficiently organize and enhance data to facilitate analytics, modeling, and product development. This involves establishing essential data pipelines, standardizing data from diverse sources, and generating meaningful insights.Data Warehousing: Design and manage data warehouses to ensure scalable, reliable, and performant data storage solutions. Ensure data is cleansed, enriched, and transformed according to business requirements.Data Ingestion: Ingest data from original sources (ERP, Reference files, etc.) and create jobs and delta loads in order to enable, run, and maintain data flows across various environments.ETL/ELT Pipeline Proficiency: Expertly develop, implement, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines, ensuring seamless data transformation and integration.Implement End-to-End Data Integration and Workflow Automation: Schedule and monitor data jobs to ensure timely availability of data.Quality, Security, and Governance: Apply and understand best practices collaborating with data analysts and data scientists to enable data-driven decision-making, selecting and integrating Big Data tools and frameworks required to provide requested capabilities, solving complex problems, optimizing data models, creating data flows, and improving processes.Requirements NeededBachelor's Degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.3+ years of experience working in software development or as a data engineer or in a similar role.3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer.3+ years of experience with AWS (AWS services such as AWS Lambda, AWS Glue, AWS Step Functions, AWS AppFlows).Experience with Terraform.Experience with Snowflake for data modeling and transformation.Proficient in programming languages such as Python, SQL, and familiarity with PySpark.Experience with Spark.Fluent in English (spoken and written).Ability to communicate effectively.Familiarity with digital technologies and process design.* The position can be allocated in person in Madrid (Spain) or Curitiba (Brazil).
