The SQE ensures that all supplied products meet the company's quality standards and regulatory requirements. This role involves supplier audits, quality control processes, problem-solving, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement in the supply chain.Key Responsibilities:Conduct Supplier Audits: Perform regular audits of supplier facilities to ensure compliance with quality standards, industry regulations, and company requirements.Supplier Evaluation: Assess new and existing suppliers for capability, capacity, and performance. Approve new suppliers and re-evaluate existing ones based on quality metrics.Supplier Development: Work closely with suppliers to develop and implement quality improvement plans. Provide training and support to enhance their quality management systems.Quality Control: Establish and monitor incoming inspection criteria for supplied materials. Ensure that all received components meet the required specifications.Problem Solving: Investigate and resolve supplier-related quality issues. Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).Non-Conformance Management: Manage non-conforming materials, including documentation, disposition, and supplier feedback.Process Improvement: Collaborate with suppliers to identify opportunities for process improvements, cost reductions, and quality enhancements.Performance Metrics: Develop and maintain supplier performance metrics. Report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and track progress against quality targets.Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks in the supply chain. Develop contingency plans to address potential quality issues.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure seamless integration of supplier components into the production process.Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree: A degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.Experience: 3-5 years of experience in supplier quality management, preferably within the automotive industry or a related manufacturing environment.Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of quality control methodologies, statistical process control (SPC), and failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA).Analytical Skills: Proficiency in data analysis, root cause analysis, and problem-solving techniques.Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
