Country: Spain Location: Virgen De Guadalupe 3, 08950 Esplugues de Llobregat, Spain Job Title: Supplier Quality Engineer Location: Barcelona, Spain Job Overview: We are seeking a seasoned Supplier Quality Engineer to join our team and take ownership of supplier quality and development processes.
The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing supplier qualification, certification, assessment, and ensuring quality issue resolution.
You will work closely with suppliers to drive continuous improvement and support our Carrier Supplier Gold program.
This position requires on-site auditing of suppliers across Europe and the ability to resolve quality-related issues for factories located outside of Europe.
Key Responsibilities: Conduct supplier qualification, certification, and ongoing assessments, ensuring compliance with company quality standards.
Manage and resolve quality issues through escape management and corrective actions, using root cause analysis techniques such as Red-X and 8D.
Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions to address systemic product and process design issues related to supplier performance.
Lead processes for supplier audits, source inspections, material release, and manage Corrective Action Boards.
Conduct trend analysis and audits across suppliers in the region, identifying and addressing larger quality concerns.
Lead supplier development initiatives to improve underperforming suppliers and ensure sustained compliance with quality standards.
Collaborate with factories located outside Europe, resolving any supplier-related issues and conducting on-site audits as needed.
Qualifications: Fluent English is required, and it will be the only language spoken at work.
Strong communication skills in English are essential for both written and verbal interactions.
3 - 5 years of experience as a Supplier Quality Engineer.
Proven experience in supplier qualification, auditing, and quality issue resolution.
Strong understanding of root cause analysis and problem-solving methodologies such as Red-X and 8D.
Ability to lead supplier development and continuous improvement efforts.
Willingness to travel for on-site supplier audits and quality assessments.
