This position is assigned to the Single Sailor (Liberty) program in the Community Recreation Division; MWR Department; Naval Station Rota Spain.
The primary purpose of this position is to manage and administer a comprehensive and diverse year-round Single Sailor Program, which includes the day-to-day program, staff and Liberty Center operations, development, organization, facilitation, marketing, and evaluation of recurring and nonrecurring programs within the Single Sailor Program.Resumes must include information which demonstrates experience and knowledge, skills, and ability (KSAs) as they relate to this position.
Applicants are encouraged to be clear and specific when describing their experience level and KSAs.Applicants must have at least 1 year of specialized experience.
To be creditable, the specialized experience must have been at the NF-03 grade level or equivalent in the DoD single service member programs (Liberty, BOSS, R4R, etc.
).A qualified candidate must possess:Knowledge of the principles, techniques, and methods or procedures used in organizing, planning, administering, and conducting a wide variety of recreation activities.Knowledge of the scope of recreational activities and their suitability for individuals, groups, ages, and interests.Knowledge of current trends in recreation.Knowledge of marketing and promotion techniques that motivate and encourage program participation.Knowledge of CNIC's EEO policy and procedures.Skill in the use of Microsoft Office Programs (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).Ability to develop and effectively deliver presentations and/or training.Ability to influence others in obtaining cooperation and assistance.Ability to perform the full range of supervisory duties.Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
