You will serve as a SUPERVISORY INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST (PLCYPLN) in the N6- INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY of NAVAL STATION ROTA, Spain.
FOR THIS POSITION INDIVIDUALS MUST HAVE IT-RELATED EXPERIENCE DEMONSTRATING EACH OF THE FOUR COMPETENCIES LISTED BELOW AND A YEAR OF SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Reviewing work methods and procedures to improve efficiency.Customer Service - Works with clients and customers to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Coordinates and integrates contractor work schedules and processes with work of subordinates.Oral Communication - Expresses information effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information; makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Advising higher level management officials.Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Providing technical guidance in the debugging process.In addition to my experience demonstrating the four competencies above, I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the following duties:
Planning and developing new projects, program execution and oversight of information technology (IT) services;Applying analytical methods to support facility renovations involving information technologies;Identifying issues and resolving critical problems on projects related to IT systems and life cycle management;Overseeing budget execution for Information Technology projects.This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, work role code IT PROJECT MANAGER (801), proficiency level ADVANCED AND SECONDARY WORK ROLE OF PROGRAM MANAGER (801) PROFICIENCY LEVEL ADVANCED the incumbent is required to obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Department of Navy policies.
This designation requires the incumbent to:
Obtain the foundational qualification within nine months and the residential qualification within 12 months of appointment and maintain those credentials as described in DoDM 8140.03 for DCWF role of 802 - IT Project Manager and 801-Program Manager proficiency level Advanced.Participate in continuous professional development program as described in DoDM 8140.03. An annual 20 hour minimum of Cyber Workforce related continuous professional development must be documented and completed in a current individual development plan signed by both the employee and supervisor.Acknowledge responsibilities in writing via command designation letter.Failure to meet a condition of employment may result in disciplinary and/or adverse action up to removal from federal service.
