.US Military Treatment Facilities under DHA Location: Rota Duties: Performs supervisory duties, including distributing work, providing technical oversight, identifying training needs, and counseling on work matters. Provides clinical psychology evaluation and treatment services to children/students in the Department of Defense Dependent Schools. Performs individual, clinical assessments including behavioral observation, clinical interviews, and administration and interpretation of psychological and educational tests to determine eligibility for special education. Teaches and provides technical assistance to teachers, school psychologists, behavior management specialists, and parents in carrying out these programs. Plans and coordinates workshops in psychological evaluations, interventions, and special interest topics for educators, other professionals, and laypersons as appropriate. Assesses and implements psychological treatment to individuals and families. Requirements: Conditions of Employment: You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Applicants must comply with the Exceptional Family Member Program requirements as outlined in the DoD Instruction 1315.19. This position has specific initial background investigation and periodic re-verification requirements since its duties require interaction with children and youth under the age of eighteen (18) years of age on a recurring basis. Immunization screening is required. Hepatitis B immunization is required for all positions with direct patient contact. Applicants may be required to show proof of other immunizations depending on the type of position. All Health Care Providers must be able to obtain and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) training and certification that is sponsored or endorsed by the American Heart Association (AHA). Current Advanced Life Support or other advanced certification does not supersede BLS completion. A pre-placement medical examination is required. Applicants must be able to fulfill credentialing requirements and obtain and maintain appropriate/relevant clinical privileges. This position is identified as Mission Essential which may require you to work or remain at work during an emergency situation or when inclement weather has curtailed operations. This position requires a one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties unless previously completed. This position may require you to be on-call on a rotational basis, responding to emergency calls at times beyond the normal duty day.
