King's College, world-renowned for academic excellence and student leadership, is seeking to appoint a dynamic, inspiring and ambitious professional to the position of Summer Camp Residential Director to join our teaching team on a temporary basis.
Key responsibilities and Accountabilities: Respect the guidelines set down by King's College S.L. (Staff Handbook). Be prepared to follow a flexible working timetable. Attend the Director's Meetings in Madrid. Be part of the staff selection process, conduct interviews. Create and organise the course timetables along with the coordinators for the Residential Course to be shared with the Deputy and Operations Director before the Training Day. Check the lists of materials/resources needed for the Courses before the start of the course and inform of any missing items. Be responsible for the care and maintenance of materials, cellphones, chargers, and school premises during camp. Once the course is underway, any requests for additional materials/replenishments must be sent to KC S.L. Operations Director in writing. Create all the necessary lists for the students attending the Courses ensuring that groups are evenly balanced by age, sex, etc. Allocate students in the Residence Tenbury House. Prepare and organise the running schedule for the Course Training Day. Prepare and organise the running order for the first day, together with the staff duties for the First Day Registration. Supervise timetables for breaks and lunches. Check with the nurse, teachers and monitors for any special health care or medication a child may need on the Courses. Supervise and help to prepare and organise the excursions included in the Courses. Organize and oversee the welcome activities, including logistics and greeting students and parents on Sundays. Coordinate and display student work in an end-of-session exhibition for parents. General course duties: This is a 24/7 position requiring morning availability and daily team meetings. Maintain an awareness of fire, health and safety and safeguarding regulations (Staff Handbook). Work as part of a team. Be responsible for the well-being of the children and staff in the course. Be prepared when necessary to take a child from the course to the nearest Health Centre or hospital. Complete a Daily Incident and Parents Complaint Sheet to be given to the Director-Department of Language Courses upon request. Ensure that all staff follows the timetable, maintaining punctuality. Maintain parent/teacher contact (on site or via telephone). Ensure that any doubts or complaints from the parents or tutors are rapidly dealt with. Ensure the uniform provided by King's College S.L. is worn at all times by teachers and monitors. Ensure that all staff maintains good standards of personal hygiene and appearance at all times. Hold daily staff meetings and daily meetings with the activities and academic coordinator. Carry with you the Director's phone at all time and make sure it is fully charged. Maintain constant contact with parents. Be responsible for the Course petty cash money (Staff Handbook). Ensure the use of English is employed at all times by the children and staff at the school during the course. Complete a professional profile on each member of the Courses. Overall responsibility of the Residential Camp. EFL Class duties: Student grouping with monitors at the start of course. Monitor and participation in activities, making changes where necessary. Offer help and advice to monitors on both an academic and personal level. Supervise and monitor the planning and preparation of Activities and excursions with teachers. Requisitos Requisitos: English language: Advanced or Proficiency (C1-C2) (Required) Spanish language: Advanced or Proficiency (C1-C2) (Required) 3+ years experience in residential life for similar programs. 5+ years of professional experience in recreation, camp, outdoor education, youth programming, or related field. Experience supervising staff and providing dynamic leadership to teams. Previous experience working with high school students as camp counselor, tutor, or other capacity. A bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Facilitation, staff management, or teaching experience. Bi- or multi-lingual, with international travel or living abroad experience. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Must be 18 years of age or older.
