What you'll do Performs daily safety procedure audits and inspections as needed.
Assists in the delivery of the Contractor Safety Training.
Support PSM including PSI; PHA; MOC; auditing; Drawing Updates, MOC Doc, T/A Help.
Assists with the development of HMIS signs and labeling.
Performs the annual respiratory protection program audit for the Safety Department.
Engage with field personnel to understand operational challenges, provide support, and reinforce a strong safety culture.
Foster positive and constructive interactions with field personnel to encourage reporting of safety concerns and ensure effective communication.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Who you are Available to begin work on January 6, 2025 Legal authorization to work in the United States – Sponsorship for this role will not be provided.
As this position requires the operation of a motor vehicle, a valid US Driver's License is required.
Previous experience is considered an asset.
Strong attitude for carrying out all work in a safe, cautious manner while following safe work practices.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Education Must be enrolled in a Chemical Engineering or Engineering Undergraduate Program at an accredited post-secondary institution at the time of intended work term and returning to full-time studies after the work term OR registered in an accredited post-secondary co-op or internship program for the duration of the work term.
Candidates currently enrolled in either a master's or Ph.D. program at an accredited post-secondary institution may also be considered.
New graduates are not eligible for student opportunities.
Working Conditions May include frequency of travel, sitting, standing, computer work, lifting, driving, working at site, etc.
Safety Sensitive This is a safety sensitive role and as such you will also be required to wear all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) during required work hours.
Furthermore, you will also be required to pass the Cenovus pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol assessment requirements.
Safety sensitive positions require the operation of a motor vehicle.
A valid US Driver's License with no restrictions is a requirement for this role.
