.Job Description: A position as Structural Designer has arisen within Airbus Defence & Space. The successful candidate will join the Aerostructures Design area and will be integrated into the structural design team, applying cutting-edge technologies in composite structures and the most modern procedures for Aeronautical Design. The area is responsible for the structural design and integration of major airframe components such as: EUROMALE and Dassault Falcon 10X Empennages, and also taking care of modifications and structural sustaining of other Aerostructures projects in production and in service such as the A320Neo Fan Cowls, A380 Fan Cowl and Belly Fairing metallic structure, Falcon 7X/8X Horizontal Tail plane. The department is also in charge of the preparation of technical proposals for any new offers for new Aerostructures projects for military or civil aircraft. It is a dynamic area, applying leading digital product innovation with 3DExperience and team working with an AGILE methodology, adding value within Structural Design solutions and troubleshooting issues in production and in service. Tasks The main activities of a Structural Design Engineer are related to: Design and validation of composites/hybrids components and assemblies that are optimized in terms of weight, cost, performance, and production/assembly requirements while ensuring the highest safety of the product. Structural definition and architecture of airframe components. Components documentation for manufacturing and assembling mechanical. Planning and follow-up of structural design deliverables. Components specification for purchasing. Interfacing with external customers, partners, and suppliers and communicating with corresponding stakeholders in design reviews, test reports, and project follow-up meetings. Required skills As a successful candidate, you will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience: Degree in Aeronautical Engineering or Industrial (Mechanics). Internships or postgraduate experience in airframe or composite structures disciplines will be valued. Knowledge of composite structures will be valued. Knowledge of CAD design in CATIA V5 or 3DEx will be valued. Usual back office tools (use of MS Office is required). Motivated, proactive, and a dynamic team player.
