The Data Strategy & Innovation tower has the responsibility of developing and delivering the enterprise data and AI strategy to align with business priorities and outcomes, while pushing R&D efforts to advance innovative analytics capabilities. We are also responsible for managing a portfolio of investments, external relations, partnerships, and allocation of funds to meet our organization's objectives.
How You'll Make an Impact / Responsibilities
Engage with senior customers and SMEs to develop the data and analytics strategy for different Siemens Energy business units and group functions.
Collaborate with the corporate strategy and innovation team and associated teams across the business.
Translate business needs into requirements of the data and analytics strategy to address challenges on how each business area uses data and analytics.
Create and evaluate data-driven initiatives in our core business, and develop and evaluate ideas in collaboration with our customers and internal partners.
Develop and monitor Key Performance Indicators / metrics to reflect progress in our data and analytics strategy.
Document and present strategy and roadmap to senior team members.
Effective project and portfolio delivery management and decision support, including development of appropriate reports and reporting cadence to governance boards, the leadership team, project managers, and business owners.
Thought leadership and support the Chief Data Officer's leadership team in providing consistent delivery and portfolio governance across the Data & Advanced Analytics organization.
What You Bring / Skills, Capabilities
Advanced Degree in one of the following fields: Computer science, mathematics, engineering, Information Technology or a quantitative field.
3+ years experience of leading a small team and a proven track record of leading successful teams and mentoring talent.
7+ years experience in the field of digital or data and analytics with demonstrated ability for the development of strategies and roadmaps.
Strong stakeholder orientation, understanding of customer needs, with experience in influencing directions and driving outcomes, and ability to translate data and analytics aspects into productive measures.
Excellent communications and engagement skills, with awareness and experience in different methods to capture ideas, sustain and solicit participation, and bring together a coherent outcome that can be tangibly translated to valuable results.
Substantial experience of establishing program management frameworks within large, complex, global organizations.
Good to have: Experience in an industry-related environment (manufacturing, energy sector).
You have a strong customer focus and excellent communication skills. You navigate easily in a global & multicultural environment.
Strong understanding of data models, reference and meta data management and data quality & issue management.
You are open-minded and willing to learn and constantly improve own skills.
You are result-driven as well as possess excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaborative skills.
Proven experience in navigating complex, matrixed organizations, and driving outcomes at scale.
