Summary: As the Strategy Manager in Travel Distribution, you will play a central role in shaping Amadeus' strategic direction within the travel distribution sector. This position offers an opportunity to drive impactful initiatives, applying strategic analysis to address complex challenges, develop creative solutions, and support decision-making at senior management levels. You will manage multiple projects with autonomy, build consensus among stakeholders, and contribute to key initiatives that define Amadeus' value proposition in the travel distribution space.
In this role you will: Manage projects that target business model evolution, content acquisition, and new value propositions for airlines and travel sellers. You'll collaborate with leadership within Travel Distribution and cross-functional teams across Amadeus to perform in-depth analysis, test hypotheses, and deliver insights. Create incentive strategies aligned with revenue models that enhance profitability. This includes evaluating market environments, conducting financial analyses, building regional support, overseeing implementation, and establishing monitoring processes. Actively contribute to cross-business line (BL) and corporate initiatives, ensuring alignment with Amadeus' broader strategic objectives and assessing their impact on Travel Distribution. Develop commercial frameworks to standardize deal negotiations, articulating the value of Amadeus' channels and models. Support strategic negotiations when models go beyond standard guidelines. Serve as a strategic and operational leader on key items related to Amadeus' business model portfolio, providing input on commercial, contractual, and operational issues. Partner with cross-functional teams to create and, where needed, lead training initiatives that enhance the commercial team's knowledge of Travel Distribution models, contract frameworks, and incentive structures. The ideal candidate will have: 5-10 years' experience in the travel sector, or related sector with a strong background in business analysis and management, particularly within global or matrixed organizations. Proficiency in managing two-sided business models, network effects, and subsidy mechanisms. Familiarity with commercial, regulatory, and contractual considerations. Awareness of industry trends, technological evolution, regulatory developments, and competitive dynamics. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to adapt to different audiences and influence senior management. Proven experience in stakeholder engagement and building cross-functional support for strategic initiatives.
