Job Purpose and ImpactThe Strategic Supply Chain Design Specialist will contribute to implementing long term supply chain strategies and networks that address capacity issues and production location decisions that support business goals.In this role, you will help monitor key sales and operations planning performance indicators including cost to serve performance data and coordinate cross functional work teams to increase effectiveness of supply chain initiatives.This role will have key responsibilities in developing network optimization models for the region (primary focus) and globally.The position requires a strong knowledge in modeling, being capable of maximizing the software functionalities to guarantee the correct design of operations into modeling language and extract the best optimized results to guide tactical and strategic business decisions.Working closely with the Modeling Manager, main responsibilities include large data sets management, scenarios alignments and model development in Supply Chain Guru®.The challenge for the coming years is to standardize quality assurance modeling procedures and leverage functionalities which improve value of projects performance, productivity, credibility, and results.This position will be part of Supply Chain Design and Optimization (SCDO) COE team, growing global central team that is well-versed in the design and optimization of business networks to the large and diverse Cargill businesses (Agricultural, Oils, Food Industry, Protein, Animal Nutrition, among others).This team leads optimization projects for businesses to find synergies opportunities, reduce costs and drive growth.Key AccountabilitiesUse comprehensive knowledge of supply chain practices and procedures to navigate through data and technology challenges, upgrades and changes.Implement moderately complex projects and process improvements to drive continuous improvement across the organization.Using a thorough understanding of supply chain practices and procedures, report on processes and ensures best practices are shared among locations.Operate as the contact point for network design and optimization work.Routine tasks include Modeling, Data Management, Project Management, and Internal Process Development.Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.Other duties as assignedQualificationsMinimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experienceMinimum of two years of related work experienceFluent level of EnglishPreferred QualificationsExperience in supply chain planning or supply chain designExperience in industries like FMCG, food, chemicals, agricultural or supply chain consulting companies.Experience with visualization tools such as Tableau® or Power BI®.Experience with data tools such as Access, SQL, Alteryx®, KNIME® or Data Guru®.Experience with optimization tool Supply Chain Guru®.Our OfferWe provide a fast paced stimulating international environment, which will stretch your abilities and channel your talents.We also offer competitive salary and benefits combined with outstanding career development opportunities in one of the largest and most solid private companies in the world.
