To manage inventory budget and operational activities in order to deliver high product availability and maximize vendor rebates, whilst keeping inventory levels and costs under a defined Annual Operating Plan.
The role holder will also be required to manage stakeholder relationships for the specific business unit and to deliver against operational initiatives to maximize revenue, vendor rebates and market share.Accountabilities:Manage and maintain positive and productive stakeholder relationships with vendors and Product Marketing teams across Europe.Understand and work within all stock-related clauses of vendor contracts to manage the resolution of risk inventory, including aged and non-pristine inventory, to drive down financial provisions and minimize Profit and Loss impacts.Direct accountability of vendor rebates linked to inventory (i.E., Sell-in targets, linearity targets, ending inventory).Transform a demand plan for finished goods into a supply plan for components.Develop and review monthly business plans by vendor with the Business Manager (BM), initiating vendor support as necessary to maintain optimum stock profiles.Work closely with BMs in negotiations with vendors towards agreed goals and objectives through proactive inventory management, whilst limiting stock risk through extended negotiated terms and conditions.Provide management & internal stakeholders with forecasts, including month-end closing views on inventory levels and inventory costs.Provide accurate weekly financial reconciliations (e.G., price changes, inventory depreciation).Monitor sales against forecasts and take appropriate action to maintain stock holding/profile within set budgets.Identify problem stock areas, review, monitor and implement corrective and preventative actions to conclusion, resolving with minimal cost or lost opportunity to Tech Data.Create a dedicated stocking policy for the assigned vendors within set policies and procedures and continually review and update where necessary.Direct accountability for key metrics of specific vendor set, including (but not exclusive to) availability, Days of Stock, Inventory Costs, and Line Item Fill Rate.Provision of regular management information to internal and external stakeholders as required.Own and manage through to completion any ad hoc projects as defined by the business.Represent Tech Data at all times in an efficient and professional manner.Skills:Good team player with experience of working in a virtual team
