About the Role
In line with the company strategy, standards methodology, and project management principles, assist a more senior Standards Specialist in standards development and/or infrastructural projects for tasks of small size/complexity to ensure standards development environment and/or message standards are responding to customer needs and are effectively developed and implemented.

At a minimum 1-2 years experience working in a financial institution, consultancy, service provider, industry association, software vendor or similar, ideally in an operational and/or business analyst role.

Key Responsibilities Collect and analyze business requirements in order to develop or maintain MT and/or ISO 20022 payments/FX messages or APIs for payments related processes such as payment initiation, clearing, and reconciliation as well as FX related processes.Support, maintain, and facilitate working groups to gather requirements and to formulate market practices.Collaborate externally with diverse stakeholders to harmonize market practice and drive adoption, promoting international standardization/convergence. These stakeholders include groups such as the Payments Market Practice Group (PMPG) as well as the FX Market Practice Group.Under the supervision of a senior standards expert, provide support in the maintenance of payments/FX MT and/or ISO 20022 messages.Respond to customer questions related to the content, use, and implementation of MT and ISO 20022 messages for payments/FX related processes.Competency Profile Strong analytical skills, attention to detail.Business modeling skills, i.e., being able to translate business requirements into more technical terms.Ability to adhere to strict timeframes as defined within a project.Energetic, eager to learn, self-driven.Team player, willing to work in a multicultural environment.Excellent English, both written and spoken; other languages are an asset.Willingness to travel.At least 1-2 years of financial industry experience gained in a financial institution, consultancy, service provider, industry association, software vendor, or similar, ideally in an operational and/or business analyst role. Broad understanding of payments, in particular cross-border international payments and/or foreign exchange. Knowledge of other areas in the financial market is a plus. Deep operational knowledge of business processes, standards, and the industry actors involved in payments/FX transaction processing transaction banks, market infrastructures, etc. Understanding of international standards and the role they play in the financial system. Detailed knowledge of FIN MT payments/FX and cash management messages as well as ISO 20022 messages in the area of payments and reporting.
