Standards Payments/FX Specialist Development Team About the Role In line with the company strategy, standards methodology and project management principles, to assist a more senior Standards Specialist in standards development and/or infrastructural projects for tasks of small size/complexity in order to ensure standards development environment and/or message standards are responding to customer needs and are effectively developed and implemented.
Education No degree required Experience At a minimum 1-2 years experience working in a financial institution, consultancy, service provider, industry association, software vendor or similar, ideally in an operational and/or business analyst role.
Domains Payments, Cash Management, Foreign Exchange Key Responsibilities Collect and analyse business requirements in order to develop or maintain MT and/or ISO 20022 payments/FX messages or APIs for payments related processes such payment initiation, clearing and reconciliation as well as FX related processes.
Support, maintain and facilitate working groups to gather requirements and to formulate market practices.
Collaborate externally with diverse stakeholders to harmonize market practice and drive adoption, promoting international standardisation/convergence.
These stakeholders include groups such as the Payments Market Practice Group (PMPG) as well as the FX Market Practice Group.
Under the supervision of a senior standards expert, provide support in the maintenance of payments/FX MT and/or ISO 20022 messages.
Respond to customer questions related to the content, use and implementation of MT and ISO 20022 messages for payments/FX related processes.

Business modelling skills, i.e., being able to translate business requirements in more technical terms.
Ability to adhere to strict timeframes as defined within a project.
Energetic, eager to learn, self-driven.

Excellent English, both written and spoken; other languages are an asset.
