Come and see why Fortune magazine consistently ranks The Trade Desk among the best small- to medium-sized workplaces globally.What we do:Our Staff engineers are the end-to-end owners who drive the process of designing, building, and deploying extracting insights from petabytes of data to help our clients makes data driven decisions to grow their businesses.You will be building a forecasting solution which provides real time responses while operating on a trillion-records-a-day dataset. We often find that off-the-shelf products and approaches struggle with our volumes of data and that is the main challenge and source of fun you will have. The forecasting system our team operates is the backbone of a lot of TTD features and at the core of our business model.Our system performs every day, 24/7, serving global traffic. We build a distributed system in a highly collaborative environment, utilizing a broad range of technologies. Our data engineers work on finding solutions to algorithmic, optimization, and scale challenges in everything we do.What you'll do:You will act as a technical leader on multi-month, multi-person projects. You will work closely with many stakeholders to understand the Why behind products you will be building and use this knowledge to drive your engineering decisions and instil this understanding on the team.You will own products end to end: design, implementation and deployment to cloud levering internal tools developed by cloud and IaaS teams at TTD.You will serve as an example to junior engineers and help them grow faster by providing guidance in MR reviews and sharing your knowledge
