Our focus is on understanding data from its conception rather than just its usage, and we are looking for professionals who can normalize (3NF, 6NF) data models, understand data domains, and design future-proof data representations.
As a Staff Data Engineer at Qonto, you will: Design and deliver data models in 6th Normal Form, 3rd Normal Form, and star schema.Collaborate with stakeholders, including Product Managers, Data Producers, Data Scientists (DS), Data Analysts (DA), and other teams within Qonto, to understand business requirements and ensure data models meet these needs and are future-proof.Mentor and elevate the team's data modeling capabilities.Contribute to data governance and ensure adherence to best practices in data architecture.What you can expect: Learn in depth about Data Modelling and Streaming technology.Be part of a dynamic and innovative team that is shaping the future of financial technology.Work in a collaborative environment with opportunities for professional growth and development.Lead cross-functional data projects that have a major impact on the business and its stakeholders.Your future manager: Emmanuel Akpan You'll be reporting to Emmanuel Akpan, a transformational leader who creates an environment where team members are empowered to reach their full potential.

About You: Experience: 8 to 10 years in data modeling, with expertise in data architecture, and normalized and denormalized data modeling.Skills: Complete mastery of SQL is required, deep understanding of data conception, normalization, and the ability to create future-proof data models.
Familiarity with DBT, Airflow, Apache Flink, and Snowflake is a plus.Mentoring: You care about growing and mentoring people.
