Taking a leading role in designing and implementing advanced (AI enabled) systems that leverage multisensory data and multimodality models, with a specialized focus on autonomous driving and real-time map generation.
Applying deep learning methodologies and machine learning algorithms to develop pioneering systems that empower the capabilities of our real-time map creation.
Adapting and fine-tuning deep learning and machine learning models for seamless deployment on low-power embedded devices, ensuring unmatched performance and operational efficiency.
Driving transformative changes by taking ownership of your responsibilities, contributing to the elevation of team performance and successful project outcomes.
Demonstrating adaptability through embracing iterative development methodologies and addressing evolving technical challenges head-on.
Leading the initiation of new projects, positioning yourself as a key technical influencer within the unit and departments, and guiding strategic technology decisions.
Balancing intricate technical decisions with their broader business and operational impacts, making well-informed trade-offs to effectively meet the company's overarching objectives.
Crafting code and designing structures that promote collaborative teamwork and facilitate enhanced productivity and engagement among team members.
Facilitating the resolution of contentious technical discussions by building consensus and showcasing your adeptness at leading through influence.
What you'll need: A PhD or MS degree in computer vision, machine learning, or a related field, complemented by multiple research publications in conferences or journals, or equivalent industry experience solving intricate AD and Mapping challenges.
Profound expertise in various machine learning approaches and deep learning methodologies, allowing you to continually innovate and adapt in response to evolving technologies.
Demonstrated experience in architecting sophisticated software solutions and deep learning frameworks, along with a flair for designing efficient deployment pipelines.
An in-depth understanding of sensor data processing, sensor fusion, and computer vision, especially in working with LiDAR, RADAR, and camera inputs.
Proficiency in map-related technologies such as SLAM, HD mapping, and geospatial data processing, reinforcing your specialization in our unique domain.
Specialization in one or more areas, encompassing 2D/3D object detection, semantic/instance segmentation, and more.
A documented history of successfully steering ML research projects from inception to completion, covering problem formulation, experimentation, iteration, and eventual publication or product integration.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and/or C++, enabling the seamless development and implementation of your groundbreaking solutions.
Effective communication skills, encompassing both written and verbal proficiency, to clearly articulate complex technical concepts and collaborate harmoniously within a diverse team.
Familiarity with programming tools and deep learning frameworks, including PyTorch, TensorFlow.
Data Science and Machine Learning: Pandas, Scikit-learn, SciPy, NumPy, OpenCV etc.

Meet your team: We are the ADAS & ADS Product Unit, leading the production of TomTom's HD maps and ADAS technology. In a diverse team of applied scientists, engineers, data scientists, and more, equipped with a broad array of expertise, you'll collaborate on groundbreaking location-based technologies and applications.
More specifically, you'll be at the forefront of the creation of advanced HD maps. You'll also help update these in real-time, ensuring our maps are pushing the world forward instantly. These maps will then go on to empower the largest car manufacturers, transportation giants, and major tech companies around the world.
