Join us.Job DescriptionAECOM's Urban Planning Landscape team is growing, and we are hiring Urban Planners to join our talented group of Architects, Landscape Architects and Urban Planners in Madrid.
Our team is involved in different large-scale project across Europe for clients across different market sectors (infrastructure, leisure, residential) bringing a new approach to traditional landscape design challenges, combining forward-thinking creativity with experience and best practices to bring the most appropriate and innovative ideas to each client.
The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in shaping the urban landscape by applying planning standards and conducting research.
If you are ready for the next step in your career, then we can offer you an exciting and globally connected team environment where you can truly thrive.Key Responsibilities:Documentation Preparation: Prepare and review drawings, reports and presentations required for ultimate delivery to clients or other stakeholders to advance understanding of urban aspects of projects, approvals for: development, master plans, development guidelines and policies.Interdisciplinary Integration: Understand the impact of integrating work from other internal disciplines or external consultants/stakeholders in the design sequence and deliverables output.
Previous experience in communication with other disciplines is required, especially with civil team.Planning Standards Application: Read, qualify, quantify, and succinctly represent planning standards applicable to projects and integrate these into proposals.
Initiate necessary actions to correct deficiencies or violations of regulation of the project.
Identify the correct sources of planning regulatory guidelines for different regions or authorities and present key findings to the team.Innovative Approaches: Support the planning team in driving innovative approaches to efficient project delivery, such as improved site analysis assessment or site planning.Design and Vision: Generate written and illustrative urban planning and landscape design principles, concepts, strategies, controls and guidelines in line with local and international regulations and standards.Team Collaboration: Contribute to the good team environment, practicing open communication, participate proactively in meetings and work commitment to projects.Data Analysis: Review and understand datasets to correlate different sources of information that might be an input to the project.
Other duties may be assigned; this document is not intended to be an exhaustive list of duties and responsibilities.Qualifications:Master's degree in architecture, Landscape Architecture, Planning and Design, or a related field.5 to 7 years of relevant experience in Urban Planning.
Preferable experience in medium to small range plans.Good writing and oral communication skills both in English and Spanish.Skills in AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign) and MS Office will be essential.Knowledge of other 3D package and GIS software will be a plus.Previous experience in landscape architecture or other architecture projects in execution level of detail will be a plus.Agile decision making and consultancy criteria.Excellent organizational skills.Motivated and able to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.Excellent design, visualization, and graphic skills.Additional Information:#LI-MG1 #J-18808-Ljbffr
