Sr. Software Development Manager, Ring

As a Senior Software Development Manager, you will be responsible for partnering with Ring and Blink business and product teams to set and deliver the wireless connectivity and networking software stack. You will build and lead multiple teams of Software and QA Engineers in the design, development, test, and deployment of our connectivity software. A successful candidate will have an established background in developing wireless protocol software with strong technical ability and excellent project management skills. Come help build the future of Ring and Blink devices and services for millions of customers around the world!Key job responsibilitiesHire, support and develop a team of exceptional software developers and QA engineersDefine the multi-year vision and strategy for the team working with leaders and principal engineersManage resource allocation to meet our business goalsManage the connectivity software lifecycle of deliverables from concept to operationsWork with teams and vendors to improve and tailor existing drivers, stack, and applications to business and customer needs.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS10+ years of engineering experience5+ years of engineering team management experience10+ years of planning, designing, developing, and delivering consumer software experienceExperience partnering with product or program management teamsExperience managing multiple concurrent programs, projects, and development teams in an Agile environmentProven track record with embedded Wi-Fi, Bluetooth/BLE, and TCP/IP Networking softwareExperienced with Linux kernel and the development and debugging of Wi-Fi drivers, supplicant, and TCP/IPDevelopment experience on Linux and RTOS platformsKnowledge of Wi-Fi and Bluetooth coexistenceKnowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operationsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSExperience partnering with product and program management teamsExperience designing and developing large scale, high-traffic applications
