Who we are Mitiga is a spinoff of the Barcelona Supercomputing Center, which hosts Marenostrum, one of the most powerful supercomputers in Europe. At Mitiga, we want to make the world more resilient against natural hazards and climate extremes.
We're on a mission to create the most reliable technology solutions to manage climate-induced risks with science, AI, and high-performing computing. We want to help prevent hazards from becoming disasters contributing to climate resilience, adaptation, and equity.
Who you are First and foremost, you are excited about our mission — and you don't need to know anything about natural hazard or climate change but should be excited to learn. But we do expect you to have experience/understanding about the insurance industry to help us translate client's needs into solutions requirements. This is essential! We're looking for someone with product management experience in a leadership role at a high-growth startup. You will bring a strong grasp of product management good practices (how to organize a roadmap, how to plan specific features, how to coordinate across teams, etc), and a track record of translating those practices into action.

Your impact Acutely listening to our customers and their needs: At Mitiga, we are customer centric and take customer delight seriously. You will work cross functionally and with customers to ensure that we are capturing key insights and customer challenges and effectively translating them into a roadmap, strategy, and tactical execution plan. In addition, you will articulate the core value proposition for key personas, assemble optimized product packaging, and support pricing proposals.
You get that product building is a team sport: You will translate customers' needs and aspirations into key insights for product building. You will partner with our tech and science teams to develop and be accountable for product and development metrics for success, including delivery milestones and feature adoption metrics. You will also work with our marketing, sales, and customer success teams to make product releases a success.
Scalability is your mantra: You are not just interested in building great products. You want great products that scale. You will bring your product expertise and business acumen from the insurance sector to drive forward Mitiga's continued growth through the simplification and scaling of our offering and in view of helping us become the first science-driven risk management company.
You're a product owner: You will be the custodian of the product vision, own the product roadmap, establish repeatable prioritization and planning processes. You will be part of our highly collaborative process in forging our overall strategy while always bringing your own point of view for the entire end-to-end experience. You will define and track success metrics for the product development.
You thrive without micromanaging: You will be able to work independently and make decisions with minimal supervision. You also will be able to demonstrate your excellent communication skills, including the ability to build relationships internally and externally.
