WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
As a Senior Network Engineer, you will:
Ensure operational support procedures and practices are well defined, documented, maintained, and consistently implemented.Create and update support processes documentation, implementation plans, and checklists with particular attention to improving our Runbook coverage and quality.Conceive, design, plan, and implement software/hardware and network systems to facilitate efficient management of Cisco and Cloud (AWS and Azure) environments.Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and solutions for more complex and larger scale network technical issues or problems.Conduct analysis, perform research, and make recommendations concerning the software/hardware and network systems in use and needs for updating.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate incident response and problem resolution activities.Lead incident management and resolution efforts, ensuring proper escalation, tracking, and timely resolution of incidents.Monitor ticketing system for issues and ensure proper resource within the team is working on issues.Monitor alerts from managed systems and work with higher-level team members to solve more complex issues and ensure they are logged in the ticketing system.Monitor network and system monitoring tools, ensuring accurate and timely alerts for incidents and proactive issue identification.Attend meetings and make presentations; participate in special projects, as assigned.EXPERIENCE
More than 5 years of experience in managing teams and setting up the operations they have to perform.
EDUCATION
University degree or FPII. CCNP R&S; or CCIE.
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
Over 5 years of experience with demonstrated expertise in managing a team in network engineering design, implementation, and support.
Success in managing network annual expense budget and capital projects with direct business impact.
Expert understanding of local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), remote access technologies, provider capabilities, network protocols and Network Access Control.
Knowledge of network routing and switching technologies and routing protocols.
Experience with various Cisco equipment (routers, switches).
Experience with Checkpoint and CDN.
Expert in Infoblox and F5 load balancers.
Formal technical certification such as CCNP or CCIE.
Knowledge in scripting and programming skills (Python, Ansible, Terraform) is desirable.
Knowledge of Cloud computing (Azure/AWS), Cisco ISE and Cisco Wireless solutions.
English level B2.
