Job Summary: Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) is looking for a Sr. Linux Kernel Engineer to join the EC2 Instance Platforms Team.

Responsibilities: Develop, maintain, and secure foundational components of Amazon EC2.Monitor live operation metrics to ensure optimal customer experience.Participate in on-call responsibilities, working as a team to root-cause issues and ensure system resilience and fault-tolerance.Recognize and support technical talent, mentor other engineers, and contribute to team success.Design software solutions to engineering challenges.Lead efforts to improve software quality, including code reviews, static code analysis, CI/CD, and automated testing.Minimum Requirements: BS in Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent work experience.Programming experience in C, evidenced by writing Linux Kernel code.Experience in virtualization (Xen, KVM) technology.Our team values work-life harmony and is currently working largely from home due to Covid-19, ensuring core working hours remain friendly to family and social life.
