Become a maker of possible with us.RESPONSIBILITIES:Operating, optimizing, and maintaining assigned production equipmentMeeting and exceeding production standards while maintaining product qualityMinimizing and preventing equipment downtime and sustaining budgeted waste levelsMaintaining accurate equipment logs and recording downtime and maintenance problemsPerforming preventative maintenance on equipmentStarting up equipment and ensuring accurate functioningMonitoring component inventories and safety guardsMaintaining a neat and orderly production environmentMonitoring in-process quality and addressing issues as neededPerforming required Q.C. checks and process challengesFollowing safety and environmental procedures and Quality System RequirementsSupporting upstream and downstream operationsPerforming rework as requiredWorking optimally in a team environmentADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:Performing other duties as assigned by Supervisor.QUALIFICATIONS:H.S. Diploma/G.E.D preferredMaintenance Repair, Mechanical Experience or Mechanical Proficiency required. Desire 2+ years experienceKnowledge of automated process required6-12 months of manufacturing experience desiredExperience working with Hydraulics and PneumaticsMust be proficient with basic hand toolsFamiliar with mechanical components: bushings, chain drives, conveyors, gearboxes, and ball valvesFamiliar with electrical components: photo-eyes, scales, reed switches, VFD'sAble to work autonomously and be self-motivatedAble to work any shift including 12 hour night or 8 hour night shiftsMust have clear and legible handwritingWork Environment:BD is a smoke-free campus. Smoking and the use of electronic smoking devices, marijuana, or tobacco products are not allowed on BD property, grounds or in the parking areas. We appreciate your cooperation in adhering to this policy.False eyelashes, press-on fingernails, and jewelry are not allowed on the production floor including dermals.
