Engineer of Quality - Reports to Director of Quality

RESPONSIBILITIESReview the Customer quality contractual requirements and suggest suitable modifications.Collate and evaluate all the quality documents from suppliers as per acceptable reference standards and submit to customers on time.Visit sites for critical quality issues, gather data for root cause analysis, and derive corrective and preventive actions.Conduct Supplier Qualification Audits for new suppliers as per defined process.Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of site performance indicators by identifying quality issues and ways to reduce waste.Perform periodic process audits at suppliers and close all non-conformities by working with suppliers.Manage quality audits and inspections, both internal and third-party quality auditors.Support the Quality Managers to monitor and report on supplier product quality and performance.Issue Material Dispatch Clearance Certificate (MDCC) to suppliers after verifying data and keep records of all shipment documents in the system.Prepare and share reports of parts, product, and document issues on a monthly basis with management.Be part of the sustainable engineering team to evaluate new requirements by collecting data from VOC, best practices in the market, etc.Generate PPAP requests in Arena for specific suppliers in coordination with the NPI team.Applying Six Sigma methodologies, drive continuous improvements in product quality while also driving down product cost and time to market.Shall be fluent in English and Spanish.Willing to travel to project sites, customer locations, and suppliers.REQUIREMENTSBachelor's degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronic Engineering.8-10 years of experience in Supplier Quality Management.Six Sigma Green Belt certified.Proficient in quality tools such as 8D, 5 Whys, SPC, Pareto, RCA process.Must be certified as QMS, IATF, or VDA internal auditor.In-depth working knowledge of Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and Supplier Qualification Process.Strong understanding of manufacturing processes.Good knowledge of data analytics and presentation skills with tools like Power BI, Minitab, etc.Planning and prioritizing activities based on the situation.Willing to learn and adapt for process improvement.Good command of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.LANGUAGEFluent in English, Spanish, and Portuguese.
TRAVELUp to 50% international and domestic travel may be required.
