Partners with colleagues in the wider Global Clinical Development team to build and deliver creative and customized solutions for CRG's clients in supporting their global clinical operations FSP needs.A Day in the Life:Leads and coordinates cross-functional gathering of information for the project Risk Register (from initiation to closure).
Maintains compliance with all organization policies, SOPs, ICH-GCP, regulatory and project specific requirements.
This role will develop and elevate the leadership skills of the 1st and 2nd level People Manager team (Associate Manager to Director level) within Global Clinical Operations through direct supervision and mentoring.
Implement flexible operational strategy that can be adjusted to fit custom client needs.
Serve in a client leadership role as the EMEA Region Lead, providing oversight for the region.
Develop & implement recruiting, hiring and resourcing strategy for Clinical Operations FSP.
Support the growth in 2024 across FSP Clinical Operations Experience.Develops and implements the EMEA specific Clinical Operations FSP strategy to ensure optimum performance and achievement of annual plans and targets.
Work effectively across multiple divisions including FSP leadership, Business Development, Strategic Proposal Development, Talent Acquisition, Project Delivery and Bids/Contracts to support the proposal process including client presentations.Drives internal resourcing and partners with talent acquisition to ensure appropriate resource availability to meet FSP client needs and ensure onboarding is tailored to client needs.
Works with leadership in all functional areas on the continuous development/improvement of business processes to support FSP delivery within the clinical operations group.
Accountable for leading change initiatives within the Clinical Operations FSP area and works with peers on the broader FSP team and relevant Functional Groups.Launch and lead on-going governance (internal Project oversight as well as PPD-client governance) of relevant FSP projects/programs and participate in risk management and escalation process of FSP projects.
Acts as critical issue point of contact for clients.
Guides FSP Clinical Operations teams to identify and solution problems encountered and proposes strategies for prevention or correction.
Ensures project risks and potential contingencies impacting time/quality/cost of deliverables are discussed with Senior Management through appropriate escalation pathways.Manages the overall budgeting activity of the groups - annual and long-range forecast and participates in mapping and budgeting for FSP Clinical projects.
Active member of the Clinical Operations senior leadership team, contributing to the strategic agenda by means of open dialogue to ensure successful delivery of the Clinical Operations strategic plan.
Lead, develop and provide coaching to the Clinical Operations FSP team in cooperation with clinical operations leadership team and facilitate career development across FSP clinical team.Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:Bachelor's degree or licensed certified health care training or equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the individual with the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
A demonstrated track record of success in clinical development (equivalent to 10 years) and in leading and developing professional staff in a project led environment.
Proven experience developing and managing the budgets and resources of a segment of the business or equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the individual with the required knowledge, skills and abilities.Strong leadership skills, excellent judgment and decision-making skills.
Strong financial skill, knowledge of budgeting, forecasting and resource management.
Client management/interaction experience desirable.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Effective organizational and negotiation skills, problem-solving ability, demonstration of ambiguity and agility.
A relationship builder who is able to work effectively in matrix organizations.
Knowledge of regulatory guidelines and Directives.
Skilled in process improvement, especially as it applies to clinical trials, clinical development and project management.
Knowledge of medical therapeutic area and medical terminology.
